Vandoren Jumbo Java Alto Sax Mouthpiece
Powerful & Complex
The Vandoren Jumbo Java Alto Sax Mouthpiece is proof that you don’t need a metal mouthpiece in order to get power, projection and cut! Featuring a high baffle and an excellent facing design, the Jumbo Java alto sax mouthpiece also has a larger round chamber that gives it a great tonal complexity making it a fun mouthpiece to play!
Available Sizes
The Jumbo Java alto mouthpiece is available in 4 sizes, but 2 of them are most preferred, the A35 & A45. Available models are:
-
- A35 – 2.06mm / .081″ Tip – Will feel like a 6 / 6*
- A45 – 2.20mm / .087″ Tip – Will feel like a 7 / 8
- A55 – 2.47mm / .097″ Tip – Will feel like a 9 / 10
- A75 – 2.60mm / .102″ Tip – Will feel like a 10+!
The A45 is the most popular as it fits the performance feel that most players are looking for. The A35 will be a little easier to control but not as big of a sound. The A55 & A75 models are more for the player that wants the open-ness of a tenor sax mouthpiece on their alto. These produce a huge sound but don’t have as easy control. For most players, the A45 facing is the most playable, giving them a hard hitting mouthpiece whit a powerful, aggressive sound that is perfectly suited to pop and rock music.

Trial & Return Policy
Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on in stock instruments and mouthpieces. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
When we ship the mouthpiece, we install a blue protective film over the logo to help protect the logo from irreparable scratches while it is being tested. We also install a tooth patch before shipping. This way you can test the mouthpiece with less fear of damage. However, you can still damage the mouthpiece even with these protections, so make sure to handle it carefully while you are testing it. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece. Mouthpieces that are returned with irreparable scratches/marks might not be accepted for return.
Please read our terms & conditions (link at the bottom of the page) for full details on this policy.
