Vandoren 13 Series Clarinet Mouthpiece
A=440 American Pitch | Profile 88 Beak
Vandoren is known worldwide for the performance, quality and value of their clarinet mouthpieces. With the Vandoren 13 Series Clarinet Mouthpiece, they have adapted their mouthpieces to the American pitch A=440 (vs the standard Vandoren mouthpiece set at A=442).
How are the Vandoren 13 Series Clarinet Mouthpieces Different?
In order to lower the mouthpiece’s pitch from A442 to A440, the internal bore of the mouthpiece was slightly enlarged. This facilitates the drop down to A440 with the Vandoren 13 Series Clarinet Mouthpieces. This also tends to give them a little richer, mellower tone than their A442 counterparts. Most models in the Vandoren line now have a counterpart in the Vandoren 13 Series Clarinet Mouthpieces.
Originally, the Vandoren 13 Series Clarinet Mouthpieces were only available in a few sizes. However, with their increased popularity due to their richer tone, Vandoren has opened up the 13 Series to include most of their models. All of the 13 Series are only made with the “Profile 88” beak.

What is “Profile 88”

Trial & Return Policy
Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy by default on the Vandoren 13 Series Clarinet Mouthpieces. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition).
When we ship the mouthpiece, we install a blue protective film over the logo to help protect the logo from unrepairable scratches while it is being tested. We also install a tooth patch before shipping. This way you can test the mouthpiece without fear of damage. We recommend leaving these items on the mouthpiece during the testing phase and only to remove them after you have made the decision to keep the mouthpiece.
Please read our terms & conditions (link at the bottom of the page) for full details on this policy.
