100th Anniversary Model
In celebration of 100 Years of saxophone making expertise, Selmer is releasing the Limited Edition Selmer Supreme Modele 2022 Alto Sax. Based on the revolutionary Selmer Supreme alto launched in 2021, the 100th Anniversary Modele 2022 pays homage to the original Selmer Paris Alto, the Modele 22 launched in 1922. Limited in production to 641 total saxophones, representing the 641 unique parts used to construct the saxophone, the Modele 2022 will surely be one of the most sought after collectible models ever made.
Limited Edition
The 100th Anniversary model will be limited to 641 total saxes, with only 75 made for the US Market. In design, the Modele 2022 is the same overall as the Supreme but with a few unique touches that are more than aesthetic. The unique features of the Anniversary model are as follows:

About the Supreme
In 2021, Selmer Paris released their aptly named Supreme alto sax. The Selmer Paris Supreme alto sax embodies the culmination of a century of expertise, combined with a perfectly mastered manufacturing process that lives up to the ambitions of the Selmer Paris name. The Supreme is not a re-hash of another model or a slight modification on existing design… instead this is a complete redesign that has been an ongoing process for the past 8 years. The Selmer Supreme represents a purely new Selmer that is designed to be the best ever!
The Selmer Supreme is not defined by a single musical genre of sound. Instead, it combines the performance characteristics that players come to want from the Selmer name in to one ultimate instrument. With a balanced tone, impeccable response, improved intonation and ergonomics, the Supreme Alto Sax will impress any level of performer.
Additional Information
We recently did a video review with comparisons of the Supreme to the Series II and Reference 54. One of our sax teachers, Charles McNeal, came in and gave all 3 horns a play through for your listening enjoyment. The first video is longer in the 20 minute range, but the second video is a “quick comparison” video that is only about 2 minutes long. Both do a good job of showing the difference in the sound of the horn.
Professional Setup
Every horn we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on the horn is of the utmost importance! Sometimes, a saxophone (regardless of who the manufacturer or the price point is) comes in needing 20 minutes of adjustments and then the very next one can require 2 hours! So if you were to get 5 of the same model right out of the box, they will all play different which leads people to believe that they are “good” or “bad” saxes… but the reality is that the one that was the best out of the 5 was likely the one that needed the least amount of work and on the flip side, the “bad” sax was the one that needed 2 hours worth of adjustments!
Once the same 5 saxophones are properly regulated and adjusted to perfection, they become near identical saxophones that even the pickiest of players would be challenged to pick a true “favorite” horn. However, since most stores do not or even can not perform this setup, the player never knows this and is simply relying on the luck of the draw. This is why we perform our setup (in our www.SaxophoneRepairs.com ProShop) on them before delivering your new sax to you.
