LaChambre 250 “Deluxe” Series Student Violin
Made Exclusively for Kessler & Sons Music
As a company, we always fight to provide the customer with the best value. In the string market, this fight sometimes seems an uphill battle as the industry tends to be stacked against the consumer. This has led us to develop our own line of performance series orchestral stringed instruments under the name “LaChambre”. Named in honor of a long since retired technician in our shop, these instruments offer unparalleled value. Our new 250 Series violins have become the best selling student violin in our store due to their exceptional performance and value.
“Deluxe” Upgrades
The LaChambre 250 is available as either our Standard or Deluxe setups. With the Deluxe series, we take the more striking looking instruments and give them a choice group of upgrades to offer improved performance and value to our customers. The 250 Deluxe Student Violin features the following upgrades of the standard LaChambre 250 model:
-
- Hand-Selected models for their stunning appearance
- Hand-Fit Despiau Superieur “one tree” bridge
- Thomastik Dominant Strings
- Eastman ABS Case
- Core Select 100 Series Carbon Graphite Bow
Despiau Bridge & Setup Upgrade
The bridge is responsible for 20% of the acoustic performance of the violin. The quality of the maple, the pattern in the wood and the fit of the bridge can make massive differences to the overall performance of the violin. The higher quality bridge, the more transmission of vibration from the strings is pushed in to the wood of the instrument. The Despiau Superieur bridges have long been considered the quality & performance standard in the industry.
With our LaChambre 250 Deluxe, we custom fit a Despiau “One Tree” bridge for the instrument. This higher quality bridge allows for quicker response and more power from the instrument. The Instrument is then paired with Thomastik Dominant Strings for a richer tone that is sweet and powerful. This combination takes the already wonderful instrument to another performance level while maintaining the student violin price.
Core Select 100 Series Bow
A great bow can drastically improve any instrument. However, most student bows are simply “cheap” bows and not really geared for student musicians’ needs. The Core Select line of bows offers great alternatives for players who need an affordable bow but without sacrificing performance.
Utilizing a lightweight (between 60g-61.5g) Carbon Graphite shaft, the Core 100 bow gives players a strong stick that is still easy to handle and manipulate. The Carbon Graphite shaft provides power and control typically reserved for bows in the $250+ price range.
Additional Information
Desert Aged
Being based in the desert of Las Vegas, we have a very unique ability to let instruments “age”. As string instruments age and the wood dries, the instrument will improve over that time. However, as these instruments dry in our desert climate of Las Vegas, this process of aging occurs much faster than most areas of the country.
This aging gives you an instrument that is more vibrant, responsive and more stable as a result of this aging!
We do make sure to monitor our instruments and make any necessary adjustments that are needed as a result of this process prior to shipping to you.
In Home Trial
Kessler & Sons Music offers a 3 day trial / return policy on the LaChambre 250 Series Student Violin. There are no cleaning fees or restocking fees (assuming that the item is returned in proper condition). We know that you need to be able to test the instrument to make sure that it is the right instrument for you. We carefully package the instrument so that it arrives safely to you.
Please note that when we ship the instrument, we wrap the bridge and the tailpiece in tissue paper so that IF the bridge were to fall down in shipping, no damage occurs to the instrument. We do not ship the violin with strings under full tension but there is enough tension to keep everything in place while in transit. If you do decide to return the violin, please make sure to follow the same guidelines so that the instrument is returned in the same condition it was sent out.
Please read our terms & conditions (link at the bottom of the page) for full details on this policy.
