Kessler Custom Composite Bassoon
Wood & Nylon Composite – Full German Key System
Bassoons can be a beautiful but daunting instrument. Due to their cost, many students use instruments that are either stripped down in features, poorly maintained or both that will hinder their performance growth. So when we feel that the current offerings in the music industry are lacking the value & performance offerings that customers need, we seek to create the solution in our Kessler Custom line. Such is the case with our Kessler Custom Composite Bassoon!

Our Composite Bassoon is made from a Grenadilla & Nylon composite. This material gives the tonal warmth closer to wood, but provides the stability of a synthetic instrument. This also provides a lighter weight instrument that is easier to handle. The material is stable for any performance environment.
Every Kessler Custom Composite Bassoon we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on any bassoon is of the utmost importance! Sometimes, an instrument (regardless of who the manufacturer or the price point is) comes in needing 20 minutes of adjustments and then the very next one can require 2 hours!
This is why we perform our setup in our ProShop on your bassoon before delivering it to you. You trust us with your purchase and we want to make sure that you are rewarded by giving you your new instrument setup flawlessly!
This setup is performed on site in our ProShop in Las Vegas by Chuck Kessler himself.
