Dual Axial Flow Valves
Axial flow valves have revolutionized the performance of triggers on the trombone. The operation of the valve keeps the air column entering the attachment relatively straight. This makes playing through the attachment much like playing through an open horn. With an independent dual rotor section, the Axial valves are even more impressive! Getzen high performance axial flow valves are smooth, quiet and easy to maintain.

Removable Leadpipes
The Getzen Custom 3062AF bass trombones include 3 different leadpipes allowing the player to easily change the feel and response of the horn.

Red Brass vs Yellow Brass Bell
The Getzen Custom 3062AF bass trombones are available with either a Red Brass or Yellow Brass bell. The Red Brass bell offers a warmer tone, but the Yellow Brass bell offers a quicker response. While evenly sought after on the F-Rotor models, we find that customers overwhelmingly prefer the yellow brass bell on the bass trombone as it is the perfect performance blend for the instrument. The bell is removable from the bell section which allows players to replace the bell on either model later in their horn’s life as their playing needs change.
