Di Zhao flutes are the result of the expertise that Di Zhao has gained over his career as a professional flautist as well as on the manufacturing side of the professional flute market. With over 20 years of experience at companies such as Verne Q. Powell & Wm.S. Haynes, Di Zhao has taken his wealth of experience and poured them in to these wonderful flutes that now bare his name. The Di Zhao 600 Series Solid Silver Flutes are the most affordable advanced intermediate models in his line.

At the center of the Di Zhao 600 is the Solid Silver, professional hand-cut headjoint and couples it with a Solid Silver body. This headjoint gives the perfect blend of tonal depth and warmth and combines it with quick response and articulation. This headjoint mirrors the design and performance concepts of the professional American makers. The Di Zhao flutes are the best flutes in their category to produce this tonal design concept.

These flutes have been used for in store demonstration and may have slight cosmetic blemishes. Still includes all warranties and setup in our shop. Flute will be cleaned, sterilized and professionally setup in our shop before shipment.

Di Zhao Models
In 2022, Di Zhao decided to unify his model number system rather than maintain one model number system for the US Market and another for the International Market. So in 2022, the US Market models are transitioning in to the new model numbers. While there is No Change to the flute itself, the model number change can be confusing. The Di Zhao 600 Series is being replaced by the Di Zhao 701 Series. A full listing of the models (& their corresponding previous model numbers) are as follows:

Pads & Grommets
Your flute’s pad setup impacts your flute’s overall performance, the stability of your flute and the flute’s tonal projection. This is why the Di Zhao 600 uses professional Lucien Deluxe pads which are then secured using delrin pad grommets. While a pad grommet might not sound impressive to most players, they will improve the durability of the flute (compared to traditional metal pad grommets) as they allow for easier removal and reinstallation thus limiting torn pads during routine flute maintenance. Delrin grommets are used on many of the industry’s $10,000+ flutes!

Professional Setup
Every Di Zhao 600 Series Flute we send out to a customer is not released from us unless it has been completely setup in our shop first. This is because the setup on your flute is of the utmost importance! Sometimes, an instrument (regardless of who the manufacturer or the price point is) comes in needing 20 minutes of adjustments and then the very next one can require 2 hours!

This is why we perform our setup in our ProShop on your new Di Zhao Flute before delivering it to you. You trust us with your purchase and we want to make sure that you are rewarded by giving you your new flute setup flawlessly!
