Bach Artisan Trumpet – AB190 – Bb Lacquer Trumpet
Bach Stradivarius – No other brand evokes more passion, loyalty, and respect. Exceptional tonal color, balanced response, and superb projection are hallmarks of designs by Vincent Bach. Carrying on the legacy and true to the vision of the master craftsman, Bach offers the Bach Artisan Trumpet. Skillfully handcrafted, the Bach Artisan Artisan culminates in a unique blend of classic design, elegant styling, and the signature Bach sound.
Back in 2007, Bach’s parent company, Conn-Selmer, decided to return back to the older, traditional manufacturing techniques and methods. They returned to original designs used by Vincent Bach and crafting techniques used back in Mt. Vernon in order to return the Bach to it’s rightful place as the world’s finest professional trumpet. The new Bach Artisan Trumpet AB190 takes it the next step further.
“Every Bach Artisan Trumpet is completely inspected and tested in our Bach ProShop to guarantee it’s quality. Any Bach Artisan that does not meet our standards is sent back to Bach.”
Bach Artisan Trumpet Collection
With over a year in development of The Artisan Collection, the Bach Artisan trumpet was aided by long-time Bach artists Michael Sachs, principal trumpet, The Cleveland Orchestra, and Phil Smith, principal trumpet, New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Bach Artisan Trumpet design features include a one-piece hand-hammered yellow brass bell with flat rim, special acoustic bell treatment, two-piece nickel/brass valve casing construction, Monel pistons, sets of brass and plastic valve guides, enhanced radius ferrules, 1st slide split ring, unique serial number sequence, and deluxe engraving. All models are outfitted in elegant cases that combine classic Vincent Bach styling, contemporary materials, and exceptional design

Bach Artisan Trumpet Screening Process
All of the Bach Artisan Trumpet models are made by hand. Even with the improved manufacturing techniques that Bach returned to, this inevitably will create some variance. So with every Bach Artisan Trumpet that comes in our shop, Dave Kessler personally inspects every single one. He checks for structural defects, cosmetic defects and assembly defects. The vibration of the instrument to ensure that the trumpet is a responsive horn. If a Bach Artisan Trumpet is assembled poorly, this results in unnecessary stress in the solder joints that actually hinder vibration and in turn, negatively affects the performance of the Bach Artisan Trumpet trumpet. The most important test of the trumpet for Dave is the vibration test. If a horn doesn’t vibrate well itself (outside of even playing the horn), then it will not be a great playing trumpet.
If a Bach Artisan Trumpet fails ANY of our tests is sent back to Bach, period.
We go through great lengths to ensure that our Bach Artisan Trumpet models are AMAZING instruments. We are going to send you a Bach Artisan Trumpet that is the epitome of what a Bach Stradivarius trumpet should be. You are going to get a great playing trumpet.
