Private Music Lessons

Kessler & Sons Music offers the most amazing assembly of professional players and teachers in our private lesson studios. We do not let just anyone teach in our shops! We insist on only the highest caliber musician in order to teach private music lessons in our 3 Las Vegas locations.

How Much?
Most of our teachers charge between $25-$30 per half hour lesson, once a week. Most teachers also offer hourly rates for more advanced students. We have the finest teachers in Las Vegas, true working professionals, and we allow them to set their own rates.

No Commitment
Our lessons require no pre-payment or minimum lesson commitment. You schedule a recurring weekly lesson and you can cancel at any time… however, once you see the growth in your playing performance, we doubt that you will want to!

All 3 of our locations have various music lessons available to help you reach the peak of your playing potential! These lessons are affordable, and taught in our professional shops. These teachers are carefully chosen to offer you only the best teaching experience possible. Private, one on one instruction from a true professional in the Kessler & Sons Music Lesson Studio!

Carmella Cao

Ms. Cao earned her Doctor of Musical Arts and was an instructor at UNLV. She has studied and taught in New York, Paris, and Italy. Carmella is 1st flute for Nevada Pops and a member of Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra and currently performs at the Venetian Hotel and Resort.

July Ivy

Professor Julie Ivy has over 20 years of teaching experience. She has a Masters Degree cum laude in Flute Performance & currently teaches music theory and ear-training at UNLV. She has played with the Nashua Symphony Orchestra, The Nevada Chamber Orchestra, The Southern Nevada Wind Ensemble, and the Nevada Symphony Orchestra. She has been a frequent judge for solo and ensemble festivals and all- state flute auditions.

Clarinet

Our Professional Clarinet Teachers – Listed Alphabetically

D. Gause

D. Gause has been active as a musician for over three decades on the Las Vegas Strip. She has been the principal clarinetist for The Phantom of the Opera. Dr. Gause has earned four academic degrees and is also a multiyear recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. She currently serves as a Professor at the College of Southern Nevada.

Jim Lewis

Steve Golden

Mr. Golden graduated from the Berkeley College of Music with a Masters in music composition. He went to perform with the Glen Miller Orchestra, led by Buddy Defranco. He has played with the Jimmy Dorsey Band, the Tommy Dorsey Band , Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Si Zentner, the Aladdin House Orchestra, the Riviera House Orchestra, Ceasars House Band, the Sands Hotel House Band, Harrah’s in Atlantic City and was the band leader at the Sands Hotel from 94-96.

Bill Leary

Bill attended Indiana University where he studied saxophone with the great Eugene Rousseau. He toured with Ringling Bros. Circus, Holland America Cruise lines, the 30th Anniversary national tour of Annie. He performed in Singapore for 2 years with “Voyage de la Vie”. He relocated to Las Vegas in 2013 to perform “Vegas Nocturne” at the Cosmopolitan. Currently performing on Steve Wynn’s “Showstoppers”. He is the Jazz Saxophone Para-Professional at the Las Vegas Academy for the performing arts of CCSD.

Ms. Acosta graduated from Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts High School as an Orchestra Major in 2009. She is currently attending CSN as a Music Education Major. Lee Schreiber

Lee earned a B.M. from the University of Arizona on a full ride scholarship. Since then she has devoted herself to performing and teaching music.Lee founded a general music program for preschool aged children called Musical Friends. She is also a founding member of a klezmer band named Meshuggina Klezmorim and has performed at numerous events city wide & has performed with Tim McGraw, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Elton John, and many more.

Sharon Street-Caldwell

Ms. Street-Caldwell had 6 violists and 1 violinist at all state last year and her students have been first chair multiple years. Peter Sittler

M.A. Education/B.A. Music Performance – Mr. Sittler has been teaching guitar and electric guitar at Kessler & Sons Music for over 8 years. He is also an elementary school teacher with the Clark County School District with over 15 years teaching experience. Mr. Sittler has performed and recorded 4 CDs with various groups on the East Coast and in the Las Vegas areas.
